Longtime host of Television Continental’s Your View, Morayo Afolabi-Brown, has officially stepped down after over a decade of captivating audiences. Her final appearance, shared by the broadcaster on Friday, left viewers visibly emotional.
The heartfelt video highlighted the tributes from both the live studio audience and fans watching from home, all expressing their deep admiration for Morayo’s influence on their lives and the countless women who tuned in daily.
Her co-anchors celebrated her for elevating broadcasting standards with her remarkable professionalism, while guests praised her humility and ability to highlight the stories of others.
In a touching video message from the United Kingdom, a woman shared how Your View helped her combat loneliness after relocating abroad, calling Morayo a source of comfort and connection.
Reflecting on her next move, Morayo revealed that she is ready to embrace a new chapter in her career. She shared her intention to first take some time to rest before diving into her next venture.
“The time I’ve spent with Your View is now complete,” Morayo said in her farewell message. “My immediate plan is to rest and recharge before embarking on the next phase of my journey. This show has given so many women a platform and sparked other similar initiatives. I’m deeply thankful for everyone I’ve crossed paths with during this journey.”
PUNCH Online previously reported that Morayo resigned from TVC after 12 years with the network. TVC’s PR Manager, Edward Akintara, confirmed that her final working day would be Thursday, August 29, 2025. Her departure allows her to pursue a personal passion project she’s long dreamed of.
While acknowledging the significance of Morayo’s departure, the network expressed gratitude for her role in the success and growth of Your View and assured viewers that the show would continue with the same quality and commitment.
