Governors elected under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will gather in Gusau, Zamfara State, for a high-level strategy meeting on Saturday, August 23, 2025.
The session, hosted by Governor Dauda Lawal, is part of preparations to strengthen the party ahead of its national convention.
In a statement issued Friday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala, the PDP governors are expected to arrive in Gusau later today, with deliberations taking place behind closed doors on Saturday.
The agenda includes discussions on key political developments, reinforcing party unity, and aligning strategic plans in advance of the PDP National Convention scheduled for November 15–16, 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
“Governor Dauda Lawal extends a warm welcome to his colleagues,” the statement said. “The Forum will use the opportunity to deliberate on internal cohesion and inter-state development initiatives.”
A welcome dinner, hosted by Governor Lawal, is set for Friday night as a precursor to Saturday’s formal engagements.
