The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that popular TikTok content creator, Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, is safe following widespread concerns over his alleged abduction during a livestream on Wednesday night.

Speaking on Channels Television’s The Morning Brief on Thursday, the Command’s spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, stated that initial investigations revealed Peller was at home and unharmed.

“We are investigating the allegation, but we can confirm that the person in question, Habeeb, popularly known as Peller, is at home safe and sound.
His vehicle is intact, all his phones and belongings are accounted for,” Hundeyin said.

He added that the police are reviewing the circumstances to determine whether the event was a genuine kidnapping, a staged incident, or a misunderstanding.

“That is what we are investigating. All his properties were intact, and there was no violence whatsoever,” he emphasized.

The 20-year-old influencer was reportedly taken by armed men during a TikTok livestream while heading home.

In the widely circulated footage, Peller initially appeared to mistake the individuals for law enforcement officers before being led away.

Peller rose to fame in 2021 through his viral short-form videos and consistent livestreams on TikTok. He has since grown his brand to include event livestreaming on platforms like Twitch.
