Bournemouth are closing in on a deal to sign French defender Axel Disasi, with negotiations with Chelsea now at an advanced stage.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Cherries have established direct contact with the London club, and talks are ongoing over the structure of the agreement. Although the final terms are still being discussed, Disasi has been identified as Bournemouth’s top defensive target this summer.
The 27-year-old, who joined Chelsea from AS Monaco in 2023, has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe. However, Bournemouth are currently leading the race and remain optimistic about securing his signature in the coming days.
Disasi, a France international, is highly regarded for his strength, aerial ability, and adaptability across defensive positions. His addition would provide manager Andoni Iraola with an experienced and reliable option as Bournemouth aim to build on their progress in the Premier League.
While no official announcement has been made, sources suggest that negotiations are progressing smoothly, raising expectations that an agreement could be finalized soon.
