The Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO Movement), a political pressure group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared its resolve to “rescue Osun State” from what it described as Governor Ademola Adeleke’s “wasteful and directionless administration.”

Speaking during an interview on Insightful Moment with Jare Tiamiyu on Tuesday, APC chieftain, Dr. Tunde Faleye, said the movement’s mission was not about personalities but about restoring good governance, accountability, and prioritizing the welfare of the people.

“AMBO is not about one individual; it is a movement with a mission to rescue Osun from the current administration, which has completely lost touch with governance, finance, and people’s welfare,” Faleye said.

He questioned the credibility of Governor Adeleke’s academic qualifications, alleging that the certificates presented by the governor lacked authenticity. “Where in the world does a reasonable institution award a PhD degree to a secondary school certificate holder in two weeks? It is not possible, except as an honorary. Governor Adeleke’s certificates lack credibility,” he alleged.

Faleye further criticized Adeleke’s style of governance, accusing him of prioritizing “showmanship and dancing performances” over genuine leadership. He also faulted the administration for mismanaging what he claimed to be over ₦1 trillion in federal allocations received by the state since 2022 without any major development projects to show for it.

“The governor has surrounded himself with inexperienced aides. Certificates do not translate to experience. Adeleke was unprepared to govern,” he said, contrasting the governor with his late elder brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, whom he described as a visionary leader.

Faleye urged Osun residents to express their dissatisfaction through the ballot, stressing that the state “deserves serious leadership, not a government of wasted years.
