Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke has described the establishment of Bass FM as a testament of belief in conducive business environment created by his administration.

Adeleke made this comment on Tuesday when he commissioned the radio station in Osogbo.

The station is founded by popular Disc Jockey, Ekundayo Salawu also known as DJ Bassman.

Speaking at the event, Governor Adeleke said, The establishment of this station is a bold step. It shows faith in Osun. It shows commitment to our people. It also creates a new platform for real-time, entertainment, information and education.

“Radio remains a powerful tool as it connects communities. It gives voice to the people, shapes opinions and strengthens democracy. With Bass 99.3 FM, our State now has another channel to entertain, inform, enlighten and empower.

“This project is also an investment in the economy as it provides jobs for young professionals. It supports local businesses through advertising and publicity and strengthens the creative industry, which is a growing sector in Osun State.

He commended the CEO for this initiative, while also stating that his Government “will continue to encourage and support private investments like this.”

Adeleke also used the opportunity to announce approval of Olude-Alatori road for immediate construction.

Ealier in his address, Salawu appreciated the governor for supporting his vision. He said the station “will combine entertainment with humanity”.
