It was an epoch making and a new dawn in the history of Okelooru Obalufon Kingdom on Tuesday as the Osun State government presented instruments of office to Oba Adebisi Mukaila Micheal as the new Olokelooru Obalufon.
The presentation of staff and certificate of office was held at the Osun State Government Secretariat, Osogbo.
Representing Governor Ademola Adeleke at the presentation, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dosu Babatunde urged the monarch to see his elevation to Part 11 Oba as a call for works towards the development of his domain.
Babatunde also called on the traditional ruler to ensure smooth relationship with his superior in Boluwaduro local government and to shun competition.
In his address, Oba Adebisi described traditional rulers as pillars of peace and development, assuring that under his reign, the kingdom will uphold peace, harmony, and progress.
He commended Governor Ademola Adeleke for his achievements across sectors and for recognizing traditional institutions in governance.
The monarch further urged citizens of Osun to obtain their voter’s cards and support the continuity of Governor Adeleke’s administration, pledging to lead with integrity and unity for the good of his people.
