Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, has vowed to initiate new legal proceedings against her colleague, Lizzy Anjorin, over alleged defamatory statements and threats directed at her family.

The development comes months after the Lagos State High Court, Osborne Division, dismissed Ojo’s ₦1 billion defamation suit against Anjorin on procedural grounds, ordering her lawyer, Olabimpe Ajegbomogun, to pay ₦500,000 in costs to Anjorin’s counsel, Ademola Olabiyi.

The two actresses have been embroiled in a long-standing feud, which has played out across social media and the courts. Anjorin, through multiple Facebook live sessions, has frequently mocked Ojo — sparking a wave of parody content on TikTok and Facebook.

In a lengthy Instagram post on Monday, Ojo confirmed her legal team is tracking all remarks for evidence.

“My legal team isn’t sleeping. They are taking note of everything. A wise person listens to learned counsel. Everything has its timing,” she wrote.

While admitting that some parody clips had amused her, Ojo raised concerns over the alleged curses and threats.

“The insults, curses, even death wishes Liz has directed at my family, especially my grandson, are heartbreaking. Most times, I struggle to hold my peace, but I choose to ignore the distractions. Who God has blessed, no one can curse,” she added.

Ojo disclosed that her attention in recent months had been on welcoming her first grandchild and supporting her daughter, but hinted that she would take stronger legal steps once back in Lagos.

The dispute escalated after Ojo alleged Anjorin should be held responsible if any harm befell her or her family. The claim followed a fire incident at Ojo’s Lagos office, which her daughter, Priscilla, linked to ongoing threats, including a letter received in May alleging the family’s movements were being monitored.

Ojo has previously said the fallout began after she publicly expressed support for Folashade Tinubu, wife of Anjorin’s husband, which she claimed triggered a barrage of accusations and attacks.

The bitter rivalry — marked by police petitions, lawsuits, and online clashes — remains one of Nollywood’s most heated feuds.
