Barcelona are reportedly weighing the option of terminating Marcus Rashford’s loan deal less than two months after his arrival from Manchester United.
According to El Nacional, the 27-year-old forward, who joined the LaLiga champions on a season-long loan in July after being frozen out at Old Trafford, has struggled to adapt to life in Spain.
Rashford was among several players excluded from United’s first-team training under Erik ten Hag, alongside Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia, before making the switch to Barcelona.
However, doubts have begun to grow within the Catalan club’s hierarchy over his performances. He has featured in their opening three league fixtures but was taken off at half-time during the 3-2 comeback victory against Levante on August 23, with Barca trailing 2-0 at the break.
The club is now said to be considering whether to cut short his stay and send him back to Manchester United ahead of schedule.
