Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, has announced plans to launch a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) aimed at supporting and empowering the girl child.

Imisi made this known in Lagos after receiving a ₦2 million cheque from BetKing, a reward for a game she won during her time in the BBNaija house.

Describing the moment as “overwhelming and inspiring,” the reality TV star opened up about her challenging childhood, which has now become the motivation behind her desire to help young girls in similar situations.

“Growing up as a girl wasn’t easy—it was a dramatic time for me,” she shared. “So I’ve always wanted to start something for the girl child. Maybe a foundation. I’m not completely sure yet, but that’s the direction I’m heading.”

Though still absorbing her win, Imisi says she’s committed to turning her dream of advocacy into a reality.

Already an actress before joining the show, Imisi credited BBNaija for significantly boosting her public profile.

“I’ve been acting for a while, but Big Brother gave me real exposure. I’m very grateful. It means a lot to me,” she said.

At the presentation ceremony, Nengi Akinola, Head of Marketing at BetKing, explained the brand’s involvement with BBNaija, highlighting how the show offered a platform to showcase their exclusive in-house games to a broader audience.

“This season, we introduced games like Danfo Lagos, JJ Ball X with Jay Jay Okocha, and Film House, featuring a female avatar on a cash-out mission. BBNaija gave us a unique opportunity to connect these games with the entertainment-loving audience,” Akinola said.

She also confirmed that BetKing is reviewing the outcome of this collaboration to decide on future partnerships.
