Nollywood star Regina Daniels has stirred widespread concern after emotional videos surfaced online, showing her in tears and speaking about distress within her marriage to billionaire politician Senator Ned Nwoko.
In the footage that quickly went viral on Friday, the actress is seen outside at night, visibly shaken and crying.
“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my house, I am a queen,” she says through sobs. Her young son can be heard trying to console her, but Daniels, still in distress, responds, “Baby, what again? I cannot stand this violence. It’s too much.”
The emotional breakdown seemed to escalate when several men believed to be security aides approached in an attempt to calm the situation. Daniels’ brother, Sammy, was also present and clashed with the men.
Later defending his actions on Instagram, he condemned domestic violence and emphasized his willingness to stand up for his sister or any woman facing abuse.
Amid the growing conversation online, an old clip resurfaced of Nwoko jokingly asserting control over Daniels, saying, “She will tell me I’m not her father, and I’ll say, no, I’m your husband,” to which Daniels replied by kneeling and declaring, “You’re my everything.”
The ongoing situation also reignited a past feud between Daniels and fellow actress Angela Okorie. The pair had previously clashed over Okorie’s criticism of Mercy Johnson, with Daniels stepping in and accusing Okorie of once trying to pursue Nwoko herself.
In response to being mentioned in the current drama, Okorie took to Instagram, distancing herself from the situation with a sarcastic post, asking why she was being tagged.
As the drama unfolded, Daniels received an outpouring of support from fans and fellow celebrities. Actor Stanley Ontop publicly pleaded for her safety, expressing concern over her well-being.
Meanwhile, social media users reacted with a mix of sympathy, skepticism, and criticism, some questioning the authenticity of the videos, while others blamed Daniels’ decision to marry an older man for the current issues.
Despite the growing speculation and intense public scrutiny, neither Regina Daniels nor Ned Nwoko has issued an official statement regarding the incident.
