Four prominent Nigerian football administrators have been named to key standing committees of the world football governing body, FIFA.
President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Musa Gusau, has been appointed to the FIFA Men’s Club Competitions Committee, the body responsible for overseeing the structure and governance of global club tournaments. Gusau succeeded Amaju Pinnick as NFF president in October 2022.
Also appointed are Aisha Falode, who earned a seat on the FIFA Media and Communications Committee, and Abdulhakeem Mustapha (SAN), now a member of the FIFA Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination Committee.
Meanwhile, former NFF president Amaju Pinnick has been reappointed as Deputy Chair of the FIFA Men’s National Teams Competitions Committee.
Reacting to the development, Pinnick congratulated the new appointees, saying:
“I wholeheartedly congratulate President Gusau, Abdulhakeem Mustapha, SAN, and Aisha Falode on their well-deserved appointments.”
