Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington has opened up about a terrifying health crisis that nearly claimed her life in June while she was in the United Kingdom with her husband, Banky W and their two sons.
In an emotional Instagram post, the award-winning actress revealed that she unexpectedly underwent surgery following a serious medical emergency, describing the experience as both frightening and life-changing.
“I could have lost my life in June,” she wrote. “What I went through was horrific and ended with an unplanned surgery, and strangely, the surgery itself was the least dramatic part of it all.”
According to Adesua, the incident occurred during a trip to the UK where she had been invited for two speaking engagements. She credited divine intervention for her survival, saying that every detail of that day seemed orchestrated to preserve her life.
“If even one single detail had been different, I wouldn’t be here today. When I think about it, I shudder,” she recounted.
Reflecting on the ordeal, the Sugar Rush star said the experience strengthened her faith and deepened her appreciation for life.
“There’s nothing anyone can tell me, God is real,” she affirmed.
Adesua concluded by encouraging her followers to live each day with kindness and gratitude.
“Let’s choose to be softer, kinder, gentler, forgiving, patient, loving, and peaceful. I’ll never take another day for granted, and neither should you,” she advised.
