Veteran Nollywood actress Bukky Wright has issued a warning to her fans and the public over a fraudulent social media account impersonating her and using her name to scam unsuspecting people.
In a post shared on her verified Instagram page on Thursday evening, the actress urged everyone to be wary of fake pages claiming to represent her. She particularly called attention to a recent post advertising a supposed job vacancy in the UK, which she described as “completely fraudulent.”
Bukky Wright, who is based in the UK, clarified that she would never ask anyone for money, personal details, or private chats on any social media platform.
“Please be cautious of fake accounts pretending to be me. I never requested money and will never ask for your personal information or private chat on any other account. This is my only official page,” she said.
She added that the job vacancy post circulating online was not from her, stressing that her priority is the safety and trust of her fans.
