Senator Ned Nwoko has publicly accused his wife, popular Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, of engaging in drug and alcohol abuse, claims he says have resulted in violent behaviour and destruction of property in their home.

The lawmaker made the allegations in a Facebook post on Sunday titled “Regina’s Unprovoked Carnage and Rampage in My House and in My Absence.”

According to Nwoko, his wife’s alleged substance abuse has been the major cause of their marital crisis. He revealed that she had previously undergone rehabilitation and insisted that she must continue treatment, either in Asokoro, Abuja, or abroad, preferably in Jordan, where he believes she would not have access to drugs.

Expressing concern for her safety, the senator stated that Regina’s current environment exposes her to “unrestricted access to drugs.”

He also alleged that Regina recently assaulted three members of his domestic staff and destroyed several properties, including vehicles and windows, without provocation.

Nwoko claimed that the latest episode occurred while he took their son, Moon, to the hospital. He alleged that chaos erupted at home during his absence, which he linked to one of Regina’s purported drug suppliers.

In his words: “Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety. Now she has moved to a place where she will have unrestricted access to drugs.”

The senator further denied any act of domestic violence on his part, stating that none of his other wives had ever accused him of such behaviour.
He added that Regina had allegedly threatened to kill a resident nurse for exposing her drug use, while accusing two individuals, identified as Sammy and Ann, of being her main drug suppliers.

As of the time of this report, Regina Daniels has not publicly responded to the allegations.
