The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress Youth League has pledged its full support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, aligning firmly with his Renewed Hope agenda.
The endorsement was announced during a “Loyalty Walk” held on Saturday in Ibadan, attracting APC youths from all 33 local government areas of the state.
The event, led by the state youth coordinator, Ayobami Dagilogba, transformed major streets into vibrant scenes of solidarity, as participants marched in support of Tinubu’s leadership and the party’s future.
Dagilogba described the walk as a “resounding message of commitment” to the President’s vision and a clear signal of the youth wing’s determination to secure victory for the APC in the 2027 general elections.
“This walk is more than a rally. It’s a declaration of faith in the Renewed Hope vision of President Tinubu and our resolve to consolidate its gains here in Oyo State and across the country. By God’s grace, we are confident that the APC will secure total victory in 2027,” he said.
He emphasized the role of young people as the “engine room of progressive politics,” vowing that the Youth League would continue mobilizing grassroots support across the state.
The walk was widely seen as a unifying moment for the APC youth, strengthening their collective resolve to back Tinubu and promote good governance and sustainable development under the party’s banner.
President Tinubu is expected to seek re-election under the APC platform. In the 2023 general elections, he triumphed over PDP’s Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party’s Peter Obi—both of whom are also rumored to be eyeing the 2027 race.
