The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has announced a special prayer session dedicated to unmarried youths, waiting mothers, and their families.
This was disclosed in a statement released in Lagos by Pastor Oladele Balogun, the Special Assistant to the General Overseer (Administration).
According to the statement, Pastor Adeboye said the prayer session, inspired by divine direction, will focus on singles and mature singles seeking life partners, as well as waiting and expectant mothers trusting God for children.
He noted that recent population data in Nigeria indicates that unmarried individuals including mature singles constitute over 40 percent of the adult population.
“This represents a vibrant but growing segment seeking marital settlement,” Adeboye said.
“Waiting and expectant mothers, numbering in millions worldwide, also form a significant part of the faith community many of whom are on a deeply spiritual and emotional journey.”
With RCCG’s presence in over 190 nations, Adeboye emphasized that these groups remain an important part of the church’s global fellowship, united in “faith, hope, and prayer.”
The special prayer will take place during the November 2025 Thanksgiving Service on Sunday, November 2, at The Throne of Grace, RCCG National Headquarters, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, starting at 8:00 a.m.
Adeboye invited participants from across the world to join the service, describing it as “a life-transforming encounter with God.” He also encouraged those within Lagos and its environs to attend in person.
