Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has made a bold statement on social media, announcing her “independence” while unveiling a newly acquired mansion.

The development comes amid reports of a serious rift between the actress and her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, following allegations of domestic violence and substance abuse.

Taking to Instagram on Sunday, Regina shared photos and videos of the luxurious property, captioning them with a defiant message:

“In my house, I am a Queen! I needed a roof over my head, so I got this for me and my family.”

Her post quickly attracted thousands of congratulatory messages from fans and supporters celebrating her move toward self-reliance.

The public display follows a turbulent week for the couple, whose six-year marriage, long the subject of public fascination due to their significant age gap, has become increasingly strained.

Earlier this month, on October 18, a viral video showed Regina tearfully lamenting her situation outside their Abuja residence.

“In Ned Nwoko’s house, I am nothing. But in my own house, I am a Queen. Not again. I can’t stand the violence, it’s too much,” she said in the clip.

In response, Ned Nwoko denied all allegations of domestic abuse, instead accusing his wife of drug and alcohol dependency.

“Regina was not always like this. Her current battle with drug and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation programme, or I fear for her life and safety,” he stated.

The senator also claimed he had offered Regina the option of continuing rehabilitation either in Abuja or abroad in Jordan, where he said she would be away from negative influences.

Despite the controversy, Regina’s latest post suggests a desire to reclaim control of her life and narrative.
