Sokoto State indigenes seeking employment opportunities through the state government’s ongoing recruitment exercise have been given additional time to complete their applications.
The Sokoto State Recruitment Committee has announced the extension of the recruitment portal deadline from October 6 to October 12, 2025.
According to the committee, the decision was made to ensure that more qualified applicants are able to take part in the recruitment process and that no eligible candidate is left out.
In a statement signed by the Secretary of the recruitment committee, Gandi Umar Muhammad, “This is to enable more qualified Sokoto State indigenes to apply.”
The committee further reminded applicants to make use of the official recruitment portal. “The committee also wishes to inform Sokoto State qualified indigenes that are yet to apply to make sure they apply through the portal given by the recruitment committee which as follows; https://employment.sokotostate.gov.ng, as the committee will not entertain any one who does not apply through the portal,” the statement added.
Earlier, it had been reported that the recruitment exercise for graduates in Sokoto State began on September 22 and was initially scheduled to end on October 6, 2025.
The recruitment process, according to the committee, aims to provide employment opportunities for qualified indigenes across the state. Applicants are expected to register using valid email addresses and phone numbers, fill out their biodata, and upload necessary documents such as educational certificates, proof of indigene, birth certificate, and National Identification Number.
The committee also advised applicants to ensure a stable internet connection during registration and cautioned them against making payments to anyone in connection with the recruitment exercise.
