Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has challenged the club’s current players to be “honest” with themselves about their chances of lifting the Premier League trophy this season.

Henry shared his thoughts on Sky Sports after watching the Gunners deliver a commanding 4–1 victory over rivals Tottenham on Sunday. Leandro Trossard opened the scoring before Eberechi Eze stole the spotlight with a brilliant hat-trick. Richarlison’s long-range strike only served as a consolation for Spurs.

Speaking after the match, Henry said it was time for Arsenal to face the reality of their progress.

“At some point, you have to embrace it,” he said. “People keep talking about the process, but it’s no longer about believing in the process, it’s actually happening. You have to be honest.”

Henry noted that Arsenal currently boast one of the strongest squads in the league, even with some big names missing from the lineup.

“We’ve put ourselves in a position where we believe we have the best squad,” he added. “Did anyone even mention the players who didn’t play today? Look at the performance, you’re no longer complaining about missing one or two players.”

The former France striker stressed that while he isn’t predicting a guaranteed title win, the team must carry themselves like frontrunners.

“You need to make sure you can win the league. I’m not saying they will win it, but they need to act like they’re the favourites.”
