The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, winner of the November 8, 2025 Anambra State governorship election.

Soludo secured 422,664 votes to defeat his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress, who polled 99,445 votes. The Young Progressives Party candidate, Sir Paul Chukwuma, came third with 37,753 votes.

Announcing the results at the INEC headquarters in Awka, the Returning Officer, Prof. Edoba Omoregie, confirmed that the state had 2,788,864 registered voters, of which 598,229 were accredited.

A total of 595,298 votes were cast, with 584,054 declared valid and 11,244 rejected. Soludo won in all 21 local government areas of the state, achieving a clean sweep.

Omoregie noted that although there were minor cancellations in some wards across Anambra West, Anaocha, Awka South, and Onitsha South due to incidents affecting 10,481 votes, the margin of victory rendered the issues inconsequential to the final outcome.

He declared the election peaceful and transparent, affirming that Soludo, having scored the highest number of valid votes and satisfied all legal requirements, was duly elected as Governor of Anambra State.
