Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has issued a stern warning to popular actor and matchmaker Kehinde Adams, better known as Lege Miami, after the entertainer made remarks involving Nwabali’s late father.

Lege Miami had earlier gone online to criticise several Super Eagles players following Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Although he praised stars like Victor Osimhen, Benjamin Fredrick, and Calvin Bassey, he unleashed harsh words on others including Nwabali, despite the goalkeeper’s strong performance, where he saved two penalties in the playoff defeat to DR Congo.

Things escalated when Lege Miami mentioned Nwabali’s late father, whose funeral the goalkeeper only recently concluded. The reference struck a nerve, prompting Nwabali to fire back on Instagram.

In his post, Nwabali warned: “Lege Miami, remove my late dad’s name from your mouth if you are doing your content. If you don’t learn to respect people’s dad, you should respect the dead. I’m not your regular type of footballer, I go beat you mercilessly. You’re free to insult me, but remove my late dad’s name from your mouth.”

In response, Lege Miami reshared the message and insisted that Nwabali owed Nigerians an apology.

According to him: “@nwabali32, you came to my DM to insult my personality because I corrected your mistakes. All I am saying is that you must make an apology video to Nigerians.”

The online exchange has since drawn wide attention, with many Nigerians reacting to how the dispute unfolded.
