Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has celebrated former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as he marks his 78th birthday, offering warm praise and heartfelt prayers.
In a message shared on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Tuesday, Obi described Atiku as “my very dear elder brother, boss, and elder statesman.” He commended Atiku’s long years of service to Nigeria and his unwavering commitment to national issues, even at an advanced age.
Obi wrote, “I wish you continued success, prosperity, and an unending stream of accolades. It takes remarkable fortitude to remain active in public life well into one’s golden years. Your dedication and patriotism remain truly exceptional.”
He urged the former Vice President and Waziri Adamawa to take pride in his “fruitful service to humanity,” praying that God grants him many more healthy, fulfilling years, along with the wisdom and strength to keep contributing to peace and nation-building.
Similarly, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri also joined in the celebrations. In his birthday message, Fintiri described Atiku as a source of pride to both the state and the nation.
“Happy birthday to our distinguished elder statesman, Waziri Adamawa, H.E. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Your contributions to our nation and our dear Adamawa State remain a source of pride,” he stated.
The governor prayed for Allah’s continued blessings on Atiku, wishing him long life, good health, wisdom, and many more years of meaningful service to Nigeria and humanity.
