A 39-year-old senior officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Funmilayo Oluwamayokun, and her teenage daughter, Sewa Lasisi, have been declared missing in Ogun State.

According to a statement released on Friday by the State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, both mother and daughter were reported missing after leaving their residence in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Sunday and failing to return.

Oluwamayokun, who holds the rank of Superintendent Route Commander, is a fourth-level senior operational officer in the FRSC hierarchy, overseeing multiple routes and coordinating key enforcement operations.

Police confirmed that all efforts by family members and colleagues to reach the officer and her daughter via mobile phone have proved unsuccessful.

The statement read in part, “The Ogun State Police Command is seeking the assistance of the general public in locating one SRC Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun, a 38-year-old female officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Abeokuta Unit, and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi, who have been declared missing.

“The report was lodged at Kemta Divisional Police Headquarters on Tuesday, November 5, 2025, by a Federal Road Safety Officer serving in Abeokuta, in the company of the victims’ family members.

“According to the report, the officer and her daughter left their residence at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Sunday morning, November 2, 2025, and have not returned home since then. All efforts to reach them on the phone have proved abortive.”

Odutola added that the Commissioner of Police had ordered an immediate and comprehensive investigation into their disappearance to ensure their safe return.

The command urged anyone with useful information about their whereabouts to contact the nearest police station.

“The command assures all that all information received will be treated with the utmost confidentiality,” the statement added.
