The Convener of the Osun Youth Conference and Awards, Comrade Oyewale Segun, who also serves as the Special Assistant to the Governor on Youth Mobilization, has announced that the fourth edition of the event will focus on creating enabling environment for young people to thrive in leadership, entrepreneurship and digital innovation.
Speaking during a press briefing on Friday at the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Abeere, Oyewale said this year’s conference, themed “The Power of Youth: Rethinking Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Digital Inclusion in Nation Building,” seeks to harness the creativity and innovation of young Nigerians for sustainable national growth.
According to him, the two-day event scheduled to hold at Adolak Event Center, Osogbo will feature entrepreneurship development sessions in partnership with SMEDAN, BOI, and CAC, during which over 500 young entrepreneurs will receive training and free business registrations.
Oyewale also revealed that the event will witness the launch of the Dr. Deji Adeleke Youth Entrepreneurship Resource Centre, a permanent hub for innovation and enterprise development in Osogbo.
Notable personalities expected at the event include Dr. Bukola Saraki, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, Hajia Bola Shagaya, Hon. Ayodele Olawande (Minister of Youth), Dr. Charles Odii (DG SMEDAN), Barr. Pelumi Olajengbesi, Dr. Femi Adefila, and Banks Omisore, among others.
“This conference is not just another event; it is a movement of possibilities where youth voices are heard, ideas are shaped, and dreams are given direction,” Oyewale stated.
He added that the initiative aims to inspire solution-driven youth, strengthen collaboration between government and private sector players, and position Osun as a model of youth-led development in Nigeria.
Oyewale expressed gratitude to sponsors, partners, and the media for their continuous support, emphasizing that “Osun is rising, the youth are ready, and the future begins now.”
