Barcelona’s teenage football sensation, Lamine Yamal, has confirmed that he is no longer in a relationship with Argentine rapper Nicki Nicole.
The young winger, who has quickly risen to stardom as one of football’s brightest prospects, addressed growing rumours about his personal life during an interview with journalist Javi Hoyos.
“We’re not together anymore,” Yamal said, putting an end to weeks of speculation. He also dismissed claims that the relationship ended due to cheating, insisting, “It wasn’t because of any infidelity. We’ve simply gone our separate ways — that’s all.”
The couple’s romance had attracted significant attention on social media, with fans frequently spotting them together at public events and outings. Their relationship, which reportedly lasted less than a year, appeared strong until rumours began to swirl following Yamal’s recent trip to Italy.
Responding to the gossip, the 17-year-old star made it clear that the stories being circulated online were untrue. “Everything that’s coming out has nothing to do with us. I’ve not been unfaithful or involved with anyone else,” he stated.
Nicki Nicole had been a familiar face at Barcelona matches, often cheering Yamal from the stands alongside injured players like Raphinha and Dani Olmo. She was even spotted chatting with Barca’s manager, Hansi Flick, during one of the games — further fuelling fan interest in their relationship.
With Yamal now confirming their split, both stars appear ready to move on — the footballer refocusing on his career, and Nicole continuing her music journey.
