Former deputy governor, Senator Iyiola Omisore has said the image of “a dancing governor ” created by incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke will be corrected by him if elected as the governor of the state.

Omisore, who spoke at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress in Abuja, where he has gone to submit his expression of interest form, said governance is more serious than being a dancing governor, adding that Adeleke can’t make a commissioner in his government.

“You’re all aware that our state is being governed by a dancing governor. Any governor that dances any time does not appreciate the task of being a governor. Governance is more of a serious business than just dancing away. The outward look of anyone dancing in the government house shows the acumen and the stuff such a person is made of.

“So I’m here before you to present an alternative. You all know my pedigree and I’m ready to correct that wrong image and projection created for our state by Adeleke.”

Speaking on concensus arrangement, Omisore said he has not been informed and considering the number of aspirants now, he believes the party will conduct a free and fair primary.

“As you can see, we have nine aspirants submitting forms today, which means there is no concensus arrangement. The party will go through a primary process and I believe whoever emerges through a transparent process will fly the flag of the party.”
