Nigerian music superstar Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Face/2Baba, has publicly condemned members of his family for spreading harmful rumours about his personal life, putting his partner Natasha at risk.
In a video posted on X.com late Thursday, the singer described the situation as “dangerously out of hand” and vowed to speak out against false narratives surrounding his name and relationships.
“I’m a grown man, and I have the right to be with whoever I want to be with… My family, while claiming they wanted to save me, have actually destroyed me and endangered Natasha,” 2Face said.
He revealed that Natasha had received death threats and criticized his family for escalating private disputes into public drama. He also referenced similar issues during his previous marriage to Annie, suggesting a recurring pattern of behavior.
Despite circulating rumours about his mental state, the veteran singer insisted he was “perfectly okay,” noting his recent performance in Abuja as evidence of his wellbeing.
“I’m good, I’m out there, living, breathing, working… Painting me as mentally unstable is equivalent to killing somebody,” he said.
2Face also accused former associates of fabricating lies about him, saying he would soon address issues he had remained silent about. He called for an end to harassment and death threats.
This public statement follows reports of his brief detention by UK police after an alleged altercation with Natasha during his October tour, which resurfaced during an Instagram Live session with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, sparking further speculation about his marriage.
