The All Progressives Congress has adjusted the dates for its forthcoming National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings. Initially slated for December 15 and 16, 2025, the meetings will now hold on December 18 and 19.

The rescheduled dates were announced in an official notice titled “Change of Meeting Dates”, issued by the party’s National Secretary, Senator Surajudeen Basiru, and shared via his X account on Sunday.

According to the updated timetable, the National Caucus will convene at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, while the NEC meeting will follow at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19. Both gatherings are set for the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The announcement also reaffirmed that attendance aligns with Articles 12.3 and 13.3 of the APC Constitution, which outline the makeup of these crucial party bodies.

The National Caucus includes senior stakeholders such as the President and Vice President, former APC presidents and vice presidents, sitting and former governors, and zonal representatives.

The NEC—recognized as the party’s top decision-making organ—comprises the National Chairman, Deputy National Chairmen, National Secretary, Deputy National Secretary, National Legal Adviser and deputy, National Treasurer and deputy, as well as the National Organising, Financial, Publicity, Women, and Youth leaders. State chairmen, zonal delegates, and convention-elected members are also part of the body.

This rescheduling comes shortly after the party announced the original dates, which were expected to mark its first major high-level meetings in over a year. No reasons were provided for the new adjustments.

“All members are hereby notified of the meeting in accordance with Article 11.5 of the Constitution,” the notice read.
