Alhaji Mansur Oladimeji Tijani, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and aspirant for the Ede Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, has congratulated Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) on his emergence as the winner of the Osun State APC governorship primary.
Tijani described AMBO’s victory as a deserved outcome of a transparent and credible process, noting that it reflects the confidence party members have in his leadership, experience, and record of service.
He also commended the other aspirants who stepped down in the interest of party unity, describing their actions as statesmanlike and critical to strengthening the APC as it prepares for the next electoral contest in Osun State.
According to Tijani, AMBO’s experience as Commissioner for Finance and Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) clearly sets him apart as a disciplined and prudent manager of public resources.
He added that the governor-elect’s background in governance and administration has adequately prepared him to provide focused leadership and drive sustainable development across the state.
The APC chieftain further expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his continued leadership of the party, as well as the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, for his role in stabilising and strengthening the APC in Osun State.
Tijani pledged his full support for AMBO, assuring that he would work closely with party leaders, stakeholders, and grassroots supporters to secure victory for the APC in the 2026 governorship election.
“Asiwaju Oyebamiji has consistently demonstrated prudence, competence, and accountability in public office. His performance both as Commissioner for Finance and at NIWA speaks clearly to his capacity to deliver good governance.
“I congratulate him on this victory and assure him of my total support. Together, we will mobilise and work diligently to ensure the APC records a decisive victory in Osun State in 2026,” Tijani said.
