Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has shared an emotional video on social media, opening up about the pain of being separated from her children amid reported marital tensions with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko.

The actress posted the video on Instagram on Monday night, showing a tender video call with her two sons, Prince Munir Nwoko, fondly called Moon, and Prince Khalifa Nwoko, known as Kharly. During the call, Regina presented the children with gifts, including toys, clothes and shoes, in what appeared to be an attempt to stay connected despite the distance.

In the touching exchange, one of the children pleaded, “Mama, come back,” to which Regina gently responded, “I will come soon, okay.” The children also told her, “Take care of us and yourself… I love you,” a moment that visibly moved the actress.

Reflecting on the experience in her caption, Regina expressed the emotional toll of being away from her children.

“People may believe that I am happy, but no mother can be at peace while separated from her children,” she wrote. “I chose not to allow that pain to define or imprison me, which is why it took time for me to walk away.”

She also reacted to her husband’s recent public posts featuring their children, following a video he shared on Sunday in which he spoke about family time and reconnecting.

According to Regina, such public displays raise questions about intention. “These actions make it reasonable to question whether his behaviour is motivated by public engagement rather than parental responsibility,” she said.

The actress revealed that she had tried to remain silent to avoid media attention but felt compelled to speak after weeks of separation, disclosing that the last time she spoke with her children was in mid-November.

Reaffirming her role and resolve as a mother, Regina stressed that her bond with her children remains unbroken.

“I may be young, but I am a mother who loves being a mum, who misses being a mum,” she wrote. “It’s unbelievable if their father thinks I won’t come for my children. I will definitely see my kids soon.”

The video has since sparked widespread reactions online, with many fans expressing sympathy and support for the actress as she navigates the emotional challenge of separation from her children.
