Aloy Ejimakor, the legal adviser to the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has thanked the Igbo community for their continuous support for the separatist leader.
Ejimakor expressed his appreciation in a post shared on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday. His remarks came shortly after Kanu’s recent conviction and sentencing to life imprisonment.
The lawyer described the November 20, 2025 judgment delivered by Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court, Abuja, as a blow not only to Kanu but to the entire Igbo people.
According to him, the overwhelming support Kanu continues to receive both from leaders and ordinary citizens at home and in the diaspora demonstrates a strong sense of unity among the Igbo.
“Let me again thank Ndigbo, both leaders and the led, at home and abroad, for the brotherhood and support you have shown Nnamdi Kanu since this ordeal began in 2015. It proves that Igbos are united behind him,” Ejimakor wrote.
