Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé was absent from training on Tuesday, raising fresh concerns ahead of the club’s high-stakes Champions League clash against Manchester City on Wednesday.
The French forward, who fractured a finger during Madrid’s La Liga loss to Celta Vigo on Sunday, is also said to be dealing with additional discomfort from the same match, according to club officials who responded to AFP.
Mbappé’s availability for the showdown remains uncertain, and his absence would be a major setback for manager Xabi Alonso, who is reportedly under heavy pressure. Spanish media claim that a loss to City could cost him his job.
The 26-year-old has been in incredible form this season, scoring 25 goals in 21 matches across all competitions—making him Madrid’s most influential player so far.
