The funeral prayers for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif Kevin Ayodele, both close friends and long-time team members of boxing champion Anthony Joshua, will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, in London.
The Janaza prayer is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the London Central Mosque on Park Road, according to a statement released on Saturday by Boxing King Media. The organisation expressed sympathy for the bereaved families, noting that thoughts and prayers remain with them during this difficult time.
Ghami and Ayodele, popularly known as “Latz,” lost their lives in a tragic road accident in Nigeria late last year. Their bodies have since been repatriated to the United Kingdom ahead of the burial rites.
The fatal crash occurred on Monday, December 29, 2025, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in the Makun area of Ogun State. A Lexus SUV conveying Anthony Joshua collided with a stationary truck, killing Ghami, Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, and Ayodele, his personal trainer, at the scene. Joshua, who was also involved in the accident, survived with minor injuries.
The funeral service in London is expected to draw family members, friends, and members of the boxing community who will gather to honour the memories of the two men and pay their final respects.
