Barcelona clinched their second straight Spanish Super Cup title on Sunday night after edging rivals Real Madrid 3–2 in a dramatic El Clásico that delivered goals, controversy and late drama.

The Catalan giants struck first through Raphinha, who opened the scoring with a confident finish before Real Madrid responded in style. Vinícius Júnior restored parity with a brilliant solo effort, weaving past defenders to beat the goalkeeper.

The first half exploded into life in stoppage time. Robert Lewandowski quickly put Barcelona back in front, only for Gonzalo García to draw Real Madrid level again minutes later, ensuring three goals were scored in a frenetic end to the opening half.

The decisive moment arrived in the 73rd minute when Raphinha struck again. His effort took a crucial deflection and looped over goalkeeper Joan García, handing Barcelona the lead for the final time.

Barcelona were forced to defend that advantage with ten men after Frenkie de Jong was shown a red card for a reckless challenge on Kylian Mbappé late in the game. Real Madrid pushed hard for an equaliser, but their hopes faded when Carrera missed a golden chance from close range.

Despite the late pressure, Barcelona held firm to seal a memorable victory.

The result marks Barcelona’s third Super Cup triumph in the last four seasons, underlining their growing dominance in the competition. Raphinha’s match-winning performance, combining skill and a touch of fortune, ultimately proved the difference on a night that lived up to the billing of football’s fiercest rivalry.
