The Senior Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Center, Pastor Bolaji Idowu, has announced a financial support initiative for church members who are currently out of work.
Speaking during a Sunday service, Pastor Idowu revealed that the church will pay ₦50,000 every month for three months to members who actively serve in the church but are presently unemployed.
According to him, the initiative is designed to provide temporary relief and stability for affected members as they search for new job opportunities.
“Those who are in between jobs and people who were working before but have lost their jobs will receive ₦50,000 monthly for the next three months to support them until they get another job,” he said.
The pastor explained that the support would cover leaders and workers serving in different capacities within the church, stressing that the church has a responsibility to care for its members in difficult times.
“One of the things the church should do is to be there for one another. This is just to help them stabilise,” he added.
Pastor Idowu also encouraged eligible members to register with the church administration, noting that there would be no need for rigorous screening since the church already trusts those who serve faithfully.
“If you fall into this category, meet with the church administration and register. We won’t conduct many interviews because your service already shows your integrity,” he said.
The announcement was met with loud applause from members of the congregation, many of whom praised the church for the gesture.
