Afrobeats star David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to his father, Dr Adedeji Adeleke, for his support amid the ongoing paternity controversy that has stirred widespread reactions on social media.
The singer shared the appreciation on Thursday via his Instagram story, where he posted a warm photo of himself alongside his billionaire father. Both appeared cheerful in the image, smiling confidently despite the controversy surrounding the family.
Alongside the photo, Davido wrote a simple but emotional message: “Thank you my loving Father,” accompanied by heart and praying-hands emojis.
The message came shortly after Dr Adeleke addressed the issue during a press conference, where he spoke on allegations surrounding the paternity of a child reportedly linked to the singer.
The controversy, which has dominated online conversations in recent weeks, centres on claims by Ayo Labinjoh, who alleged that Davido is the biological father of her daughter, Anuoluwapo. She has repeatedly called for a DNA test to confirm the child’s paternity.
However, Davido has consistently denied the claim, maintaining that he is not the father of the child.
