Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has announced new appointments as part of his ongoing cabinet reshuffle, bringing changes to key positions in the state government.

In the latest development, the governor has relieved the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Prof. Olanike Adeyemo, of her duties with immediate effect. This was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday in Ibadan by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju.

Governor Makinde has appointed Prof. Musibau Adetunji Babatunde as the new Secretary to the State Government.

The reshuffle also affected other ministries and government offices. Mr Seun Ashamu has been redeployed from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning.

In addition, the governor named his Senior Special Assistant on Public Works, Ademola Aderinto, as a commissioner-designate. Aderinto will be forwarded to the Oyo State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

Further appointments announced include Mr Abiodun Adedoja, who has been named Special Adviser on Energy Security, and Kolawole Akanmu, appointed as Senior Special Assistant on Budget and Economic Planning.

The changes form part of Governor Makinde’s efforts to strengthen his administration and improve service delivery across key sectors of the state.
