Popular Nigerian TikToker, Amadou Elizabeth, widely known as Jarvis, has spoken emotionally about her mother’s worsening health and her growing fear of how social media users might react if the situation becomes public.
In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram on Wednesday by hushbobby_media, the content creator revealed that one of her biggest worries is that critics could record her sick mother and use the footage to attack her online.
“My mum is actually sick, and the internet can be very crazy,” Jarvis said in the video. “Tomorrow, someone could record her in that condition and use it against me. That’s what I’ve been scared of, that people will find out she’s not well and start saying terrible things about me on social media.”
Jarvis admitted she often anticipates harsh comments from online users who may question why her mother is unwell despite her success and financial stability. However, she stressed that her mother’s condition has gone beyond what money alone can fix.
“People will always say, ‘You have money, you have everything, why didn’t you take care of her?’ But at this point, money can’t solve it. It’s just God, fate and belief,” she explained.
Speaking with deep emotion, the TikToker paid tribute to her mother, describing her as a strong woman who raised the family single-handedly without support from their father, who is from Senegal.
“I love my mum so much. She really tried. She fought for us and defended us without any father’s support,” Jarvis said.
She also opened up about her ongoing effort to reconnect with her estranged father, revealing that he affectionately called her Aminata when she was younger before all communication suddenly stopped.
“From the time I was born, he used to call me Aminata, and I would just giggle because I was a child,” she recalled. “But at some point, all communication stopped. Till today, I haven’t heard from him. I’m the one searching. I’ve gone to Senegal and I’m still trying my best.”
Meanwhile, Insightlinks reported that Jarvis recently confirmed the end of her relationship with fellow influencer and livestreamer, Hamzat Habeeb, popularly known as Peller, following his car crash during a livestream.
