Bukayo Saka has put an end to speculation about his future by signing a new long-term contract with Arsenal, committing himself to the club until 2030.

The 24-year-old forward, whose previous deal was set to expire in 2027, has now extended his stay in North London after weeks of discussions. The agreement, first reported in January, was finalised on Thursday, reinforcing Arsenal’s determination to build their future around one of their most influential stars.

A product of the club’s Hale End academy, Saka has grown into the heartbeat of the team under manager Mikel Arteta. In fact, no player has logged more minutes under Arteta’s leadership than the England international. Since making his senior debut in 2018, Saka has gone on to score 78 goals in 297 appearances, developing into both a consistent performer and a fan favourite.

Speaking to the club’s media channels, Saka expressed his delight at extending his stay.

“I’m feeling amazing. This is a fantastic moment for my family and for me,” he said. “I feel immense joy to continue my journey at this club. For me, it was an easy decision. I just want to win everything here.”

Saka will be targeting glory with Arsenal still hunting Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup and Carabao Cup silverware this season. The 2020 FA Cup remains the only trophy he has won in his time at the club.

He has become a key part of the leadership group at Arsenal, and has worn the captain’s armband on numerous occassions this season.

The 24-year-old is the latest Arsenal player to commit his future to the club, with William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhães both having signed long-term contracts in the past year.
