Chelsea FC have announced global technology firm IFS as their new front-of-shirt sponsor, marking the beginning of what both parties describe as a long-term strategic partnership built around artificial intelligence.

The agreement will see IFS branding feature on Chelsea’s shirts for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, starting this weekend when the men’s team face Burnley FC in the Premier League. The women’s side will also carry the logo during their FA Women’s Cup fixture against Manchester United W.F.C..

In a statement confirming the development, Chelsea described IFS as a global leader in industrial AI software, adding that the partnership will integrate advanced artificial intelligence into several aspects of the club’s operations, from on-pitch performance analysis to operational efficiency and fan engagement.

The club said embedding AI into its structure is part of a broader ambition to remain at the cutting edge of modern football. Through the collaboration, IFS will deploy its AI-powered software and digital solutions to enhance decision-making processes, streamline operations, and improve the overall experience for supporters worldwide.

Chelsea president Jason Gannon expressed confidence that the partnership would help propel the club forward both competitively and commercially, describing it as a “statement of intent” to harness innovation for sustained success.

IFS Chief Executive Officer Mark Moffat echoed those sentiments, noting that elite sport and global industries share similarities where “small margins and critical decisions” determine success areas where AI-driven insights can make a decisive difference.

Chelsea have operated without a permanent shirt sponsor since telecommunications company Three UK ended its deal in 2023. While IFS will serve as Principal Partner for the remainder of the current campaign, the club is reportedly seeking a long-term sponsor ahead of next season, with expectations of a significant commercial agreement.

On the sporting front, Chelsea currently sit fifth in the Premier League table, just one point behind fourth-placed Manchester United F.C..

Head coach Liam Rosenior has enjoyed an encouraging start to his tenure and believes the team still has room for growth as they push for a strong finish to the season.

With a renewed technological edge and ambitions both on and off the pitch, Chelsea’s partnership with IFS signals a bold step into football’s AI-driven future.
