Arsenal forward Kai Havertz is set to miss more matches after suffering a fresh injury, adding to what has already been a frustrating season for the German international.

Havertz, who has battled multiple fitness issues this season, is now expected to be sidelined for several upcoming games, including the highly anticipated north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur.

The 2025-26 season has been particularly challenging for Havertz. He ended the 2024-25 campaign recovering from a hamstring injury that kept him out for the final three months. A knee problem followed soon after the new season began, forcing him to miss over four months. Havertz only returned to action in early January, but his comeback has been hindered by yet another setback.
Upcoming Matches at Risk

Reports from The Athletic reveal that Havertz has suffered a muscular injury, though it is unclear whether it occurred during training or in Arsenal’s 3-0 victory over Sunderland. He is now likely to miss Arsenal’s matches against Brentford, Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup, Wolves, and the north London derby at Spurs.

Ahead of the trip to Brentford, Mikel Arteta confirmed that Max Dowman remains unavailable but did not specifically name Havertz among the absentees. On other fitness concerns, Arteta said of Mikel Merino, who recently underwent foot surgery.

“The doctors were really happy with the way it went. The time frame we’re talking about is months, whether it’s three, four or five, I don’t know.”

Havertz’s Contribution Despite Setbacks
So far this season, Havertz has made just seven appearances across all competitions, scoring twice and providing two assists. His notable highlight came last week when he scored the winner against former club Chelsea in the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg.

The 24-year-old now faces a race against time to regain full fitness for the crucial stages of  as Arsenal chasing multiple silverware and Germany’s upcoming World Cup campaign.
