The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has fixed February 26, 2026, as the final deadline for registration for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Board’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB said the sale of e-PINs required for candidates to complete their registration at accredited centres will close at 12:00 midnight on Thursday, February 26, 2026.

He added that candidates who have already purchased their e-PINs will have until Saturday, February 28, 2026, to finalise their registration at approved centres nationwide.

According to the Board, more than 1.5 million candidates had successfully registered for the 2026 UTME as of Tuesday, indicating that a large number of prospective applicants are yet to complete the process.

JAMB urged intending candidates to obtain their e-PINs well before the vending deadline and proceed promptly to accredited registration centres to avoid last-minute difficulties.

The Board stressed that it will not consider any requests for extension once the registration window closes, warning that candidates who delay until the final days risk encountering avoidable challenges.
