The newly appointed acting Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has arrived at the Aso Rock Villa, Abuja, to be decorated with his new rank.
Disu arrived at the Villa at about 3pm, as our correspondent observed.
His appointment followed the resignation of former IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, whose exit from office was confirmed by the Presidency on Tuesday.
According to the Special Adviser to President on media Bayo Onanuga, President Bola Tinubu accepted Egbetokun’s resignation after he submitted a letter citing pressing family considerations.
