Fresh controversy has erupted around Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo and his estranged wife, Omotayo Sanusi, popularly known as Iyan Aladuke, following explosive allegations and leaked audio recordings shared online.
Actress Olatoun Olarenwaju, a colleague of Adebayo and a former close associate of Sanusi, accused Aladuke of orchestrating physical and spiritual attacks against her after she revealed details surrounding the collapse of the marriage. Olarenwaju made the claims in a lengthy Instagram post on Thursday.
According to her, she met Sanusi in 2023 through social media, bonding over their shared experiences as mothers of autistic children. She alleged that the friendship later deteriorated, claiming Sanusi began using her to monitor Adebayo’s movements and professional activities.
Olarenwaju recounted an incident during the filming of Jagun Jagun 2 in October 2024, alleging that Sanusi vowed that Adebayo would “never know peace” and promised to frustrate him. She further accused Sanusi of spreading false claims about the actor, including allegations of spiritual manipulation within the film industry.
Olarenwaju said the situation worsened after she gathered evidence against Sanusi, leading to threats and intimidation that allegedly affected her health and emotional wellbeing.
To back her claims, Olarenwaju released purported voice notes allegedly sent by Sanusi, in which threats were made against Adebayo and his family. In one recording, a voice believed to be Sanusi’s said, “The damage will be a lot. I will cripple all his family. He would come out to do damage control.” Another clip included a threat to tarnish the family name and referenced Adebayo’s father, veteran actor Oga Bello.
She also alleged that the messages revealed plans to sabotage Adebayo’s Instagram account in a bid to escalate the conflict.
The latest revelations come amid an ongoing public dispute over property ownership and a recent eviction involving Sanusi. A family member of Adebayo had earlier told PUNCH Online that the eviction was the result of a bank foreclosure rather than abandonment. The source added that Sanusi was aware of the loan arrangements, that Adebayo provided temporary accommodation for her and her staff, and that the actor continues to support their son financially and medically, including treatment abroad.
As accusations and counterclaims continue to fly, the personal feud shows no sign of easing, with conflicting narratives emerging over how the once-close relationships among the parties collapsed.
