Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has described a former governor of the state, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, as a patriotic democrat whose contributions to the growth and development of Osun State remain invaluable.

The governor, who was represented at the birthday celebration of the former governor by his Special Adviser, Hon. Kamarudeen Ajisafe, said the Okuku-born prince stands as a symbol of democracy and good governance. He highlighted several landmark achievements recorded during Prince Oyinlola’s tenure as governor.

Adeleke, who is currently out of the state on a critical economic engagement, noted that his administration deeply appreciates Prince Oyinlola’s contributions at the local, national and international levels. He added, “We value and honour you as a symbol of good governance and patriotic service.

“Both locally and nationally, you remain a respected voice, continually promoting stability and peaceful coexistence. In challenging times, you have distinguished yourself as a voice of reason and reconciliation.

“In moments of conflict, you consistently de-escalate tension and bring people together in the spirit of consensus. Your approach has always been that of a sincere peacemaker who has significantly supported our efforts to move Osun State to greater heights.

“In my decades-long relationship with Your Excellency, you have earned my trust as an elder statesman, a dependable adviser and a committed supporter of good governance. You are a rare breed of politician, and Osun State and Nigeria are fortunate to have you at this time.

“I pray that the Almighty grants you many more blessed years in service to our fatherland. We wish you continued success and fulfilling years as you mark more decades of service to our people,” the governor was quoted as saying.
