A pro-President Bola Ahmed Tinubu support group, Relax, Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria, on Sunday inaugurated its Local Government executives in Osogbo, Osun State, with a call on members to mobilise grassroots support ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The inauguration ceremony, held at Alubarika House in Osogbo, brought together members of the group’s state leadership and coordinators from across the local government areas.
Addressing the gathering, Arakunrin Tobiloba Famurewa, who spoke on behalf of the State Coordinator, Engineer Kunle Oyediran, urged members to remain committed to the group’s mission of strengthening political support for President Tinubu.
“It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to this historic event,” the statement read. “Today, we gather to inaugurate the Local Government Executive of ‘Relax, Tinubu is Fixing Nigeria,’ an initiative dedicated to supporting the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and strengthening our political presence in Osun State.”
According to him, the group’s primary objective is to mobilise support for the President’s re-election while expanding its political activities across the state and the country.
“Our goal is to rally support for President Tinubu’s re-election and promote our cause across Osun State and Nigeria as a whole,” the speech added. “I encourage each of you to return to your communities and spread the message so that this organisation can become a formidable force.”
Also speaking, the Secretary of the Osun State Chapter of the group, Abdusalam Majeed Damola, explained that the event also served as a platform to formally present letters of appointment to newly inaugurated coordinators.
“Today’s programme provided an opportunity to inaugurate our local government and federal coordinators and also interact with them on our mission,” he said. “We officially handed over their letters of appointment so they can represent the organisation anywhere in Nigeria.”
Damola urged the newly inaugurated officials to extend the activities of the group to the grassroots level, including wards and polling units.
“We have asked them to return to their various local governments, wards and polling units so that the message of ‘Relax Tinubu’ can spread to the grassroots. That is how we will consolidate our support base ahead of the 2027 election,” he said.
He added that the group would also work to strengthen the ruling party’s chances in the forthcoming political contests in the state.
“Before you get to the sand, you must pass through water,” he said. “The 2026 elections will come before 2027, and we believe our efforts will contribute to victory for our party and for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”
