Nollywood actress Faithia Balogun has announced the funeral arrangements for her late mother, Gloria Williams.
The actress shared the details via her Instagram page on Monday, outlining the schedule for the private ceremonies.
According to the family, a wake-keep will take place on Friday, March 6. This will be followed by the lying-in-state and interment on Saturday, March 7. A Thanksgiving Mass is scheduled for Sunday, March 8, at St. Monica Catholic Church.
Faithia explained that the burial rites will be strictly private, limited to close friends and family members, and attendance will be by invitation only. She added that a separate date would later be announced for a larger, public burial ceremony.
Expressing gratitude for the outpouring of support since her mother’s passing, the actress thanked everyone who reached out with calls, visits, and prayers. She prayed for blessings upon those who stood by her during the period of mourning.
She also cautioned that only invitations sent from designated contacts would grant access to the venue.
Last month, Faithia announced her mother’s death, noting that she passed away shortly before her 55th birthday. She described her late mother as her “cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend, and gist partner.”
