A member of the Osun State House of Assembly representing Iwo State Constituency, Adesina Atanda Rabiu, has resigned from the Accord Party with immediate effect.
The lawmaker made this known in a resignation letter addressed to the Speaker of the Assembly, Adewale Olumide Egbedun, where he expressed gratitude for the support and opportunity he received while serving under the party.
Rabiu commended the Speaker for his leadership, describing him as a distinguished figure whose vision and commitment have contributed to the progress of the Assembly and the party.
While confirming his exit, the lawmaker noted that the decision was personal, choosing not to disclose specific reasons behind his move.
He also appreciated the Accord Party for providing him the platform to serve his constituents and wished the party and the Assembly leadership continued success in their future engagements.
