Governor Ademola Adeleke has exonerated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Federal Government from all his allegations over local government crisis in Osun state, declaring that the President deserves another term.

This is as he reaffirmed his earlier endorsement of the President for 2027.

The Governor said this on Tuesday when during a meeting with his cabinet members.

He said, “We have no problem with President Tinubu. He is our leader. He represents the South West. I restate our endorsement of Mr President for re-election in the best interest of the South West.

“Our problem is with Minister Oyetola who has not gotten over his loss of 2022. We hold Mr. Oyetola accountable for the local government crisis rather than the President. Osun people also hold the same view.”

Adeleke has been struggling to control local government since year and his government has instituted no fewer than 13 suits at different courts.

He has in the past accused the federal government of withholding the allocations of the local government in Osun state.

Also at the meeting, the Governor directed the officials to relaunch the Accord structures across the state through ongoing membership registration and roll out mobilisation of voters across the 332 wards in the state.

“Go out and build on the popularity of Accord since we came on board. Solidify our hold on the grassroots. Flaunt our record of achievements across the local governments and get set for open campaign for victory on August 15th”, the governor declared at the meeting.
